Liver Transplantation Surgery

Post-Doctoral Fellowship In Liver Transplantation

Transplant Surgery, although being a surgical super-specialty, in reality, deals with a lot of medical aspects. The success in transplantation involves understanding the disease process and treating the patient as a whole rather than just the technical aspects of the surgery. Keeping this as the background, the curriculum for training emphasizes the importance of imparting training in all aspects of managing a Liver Transplant Patient.

This curriculum will be under continuous review and may be changed as techniques develop with time, but serves as a present definition of the minimum requirement for fellows in the specialty.
